Western Massachusetts Fibershed products feature fiber from farms in Western Massachusetts. The fibers are washed, picked, carded, and spun at Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney, VT. The fabric and yardage is woven at Bedfellows Blankets in Shelburne Falls, MA.
Each production cycle includes a slightly different combination of farms, breeds, and fibers. Each run is limited. The care and nurturing of the shepherds, the quality of the fleeces we select, and the skill and knowledge of the worker-owners at the spinnery ensure that our yarns are consistently luminous and bouncy, despite variations from one cycle to another.
